I got to around level 5 and just couldn't stand it any more, just not for me.

When it comes down to it, AoC really isn't anything new or fresh. It's the same old kill 50 snakes and grind to the level cap. It does feed that mmo crave and it looks nice.

My uncle was nice enough to let me try it out on his account and im not thriled with it.
Its not quite the kill 50 snakes and lvl cap like others think there is alot of diversity and it looks nice.
the mega - to it is that you have to at a min. to actualy run the game and not crash is you need something around a 8600GT video card and 2g of ram. and it recomends 4g of ram and thats just insane.
If the game was free or live xbox live and was a yearly charge i would say its good, but id rather not spend 600$ to upgrade my pc and pay 15$ a mounth to play a game that is a non cartoon version of WoW.

Anyone know how PvP works in AOC? will there be any rewards for players who try to be the best in PvP like in WoW with the arena gear. if not it will mean people who focus on PvE will have much better gear.

AoC is an RPG game that was forced into an MMorpg so Piracy would not corrupt sales, a lot of employees even admitted it.

I have actually been enjoying myself a lot in AoC. Tons of content is missing and classes are incredibly unbalanced, but it is still solid for the first month. Still not sure if i will continue my sub, but if my guild continues to play I probably will. It is no WoW, thats for sure, but it is fun.

Like all games, you either like it or you don't. It's just a shame that World of Warcraft actually babied everyone. It seems people forgot about when MMOs were hard...when there was a death penalty. When you died you dropped all your crap, it's just a shame that there's so many QQers.

That's because people didn't want to feel like it was a job to play. We're already paying for the service, so might as well make it semi easy. I know that after 10-12 hours of my job, I don't want to come home and "work" again on a game.

And raiding in WoW isnt a job?

- set hours
- overtime
- boss
- colleagues
- stress
- Alot of work, little rewards

My computer is plenty for this game and it runs fine, my problem isn't the performance as much as it is that the game is extremely boring. It feels like leveling up a character from scratch in WoW, except with better graphics and altered combat system.

The game is pretty awful, it's really fun until like level 40, then it's mostly grinding with no content until 80.
