Hello, you all need to learn about this certain 'trader' named manic1000 on this forum.
He has recently been posting threads that he was selling a level 120 account named Manic97 on RuneScape. The account is in fact legit, stats all true, items true.
The thing is, he was wanting 10m for his account, I offered 7m in items and he jumped at it right away. He seemed like an honest guy but something about him I just didn't quite trust.
First off, he wanted items first instead of password. He kept saying " I think this is a scam, you don't want to trade items first! " He saw my items so it wasn't the fact that I might not actually own them.
I offered to find a MM but he quickly responded with a stern 'No' because he claims MM scam all the time and he just can't trust them. Note, this conversation about how we'd be trading was going on for about 2 hours since it was already 2 o'clock in the morning. Anyways, I asked him what account he can put these items on since Manic97 was going to be mine, it would be silly for me to put items on an account I would soon be owning. So, he claimed he had a pure he was working on and his 'brother' was in another part of the game and he'd have to trade it to him before he logged. I kept saying how I didn't like this and maybe we should trade tomorrow but I really wanted the account so I guess it was a shame on me to continue. I was getting really angry and called up my girlfriend who would help me check out the account, set recoveries and password and finally log on.
A while after I got tired of waiting, we made a plan that was for me to add all items to second page of trade-accept. Then he'd give me full password. It was all true up to this point, I got the REAL password and he got the REAL items. My wifey got the account all set up with the recoveries and password change then she finally logged on when he got off. It was already past 2 o'clock in the morning so we were all pretty damn tired.
I was all happy I got the account for so cheap, just Full Torags, Dragon Axe, Abby Whip, Dragon Boots, Obby Shield, Beret Set, and a pair of red gloves. 7m in total.
The next day I try logging on, hm, says name and password I entered wasn't right. I tried again, wrong, again, same answer until finally I knew something was up. I forgot to note this kid had membership. Alls he needed to change the password is the membership transaction information and he could get the account back at any time. I was so stupid. I guess this is all just a shame on me but this was still considered a scam.
Also, he tried saying for me to trade him items and he'd trade back so I could see how trustworthy he is. That's the lamest thing I have ever heard. If I wasn't so impatient and if the time wasn't so late I wouldn't have done this trade. This I guess is just considered an accusation because I don't have any screenshots of proof. I don't care if he gets banned or not, this is just a Buyer Beware for anyone who was interested in what he has.
Funny thing is, that 7m took me forever to make, really makes me mad to know how someone could just play me like that. It's been a few days since this happened and still I can't get this out of my mind. Just really wished I hadn't traded that swindler, I would still have my items and still have my integrity lmao.
Whatever though, BUYER BEWARE OF MAGE1000, DON'T BUY AN ACCOUNT NAMED MANIC97, EVER!
Thanks and I hope this reading does you well,
Crazy1220

Just because that post was intelligent and easy to read. You didn't supply any proof? You didn't take screenies even after thinking the guy was suspicious? Hmm...

As I said from the beginning. This can only be considered an accusation simply because I DON'T have any proof. If you had read what I posted more clearly you would have understood.
A simple Buyer Beware if you choose to ignore this because I don't have any proof, that's okay. It's an open opinion to anyone who reads this thread. You don't need to take this warning, you also don't need to turn this around on me.
Thank you so much for your concern,

I wasn't attacking you, I'm just saying you have no screenshots at all, to even supply the fact this really happened?

Greggy, Do you see him saying scammer anywhere ?
No
The criteria for calling someone a scammer is post proof positive. I have said repeatedly that if there is a need to be leery or cautious about a member, post it, but do not call them a scammer.
Maybe you need to go back and re-read what I posted

You did not loose your integrity, maybe you need to look up the meaning of the word. Your items have lost their integrity and your Runescape holdings have as well, but not you.
I will look around and see what I can find. I do appreciate the Runescape members name as that helps a great deal. He may find that he cannot trade his account down the road as he will no longer have access either.

I vouch the post. He scammed me all my money, although i provide no proof be on the lookout for his friends manic maniac, and bandguy04. I also found some other names added on my account after i recovered it. I cannot tell everyone hes a scammer because i have no proof but just watch the trades you make with him.

It just goes to show the saying's can be true - If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

I banned him and toodles. Unsure why the ban was removed since they are dyed in the wool thieves

Thanks CG. No more of Manic. You can lock this thread now.
As for crazy1220, I'm sorry for your 7M worth of items lost.
Next time you should screenshot your trades and get proof .
