Well this pretty much lets you play WoW for free. First you must download the WoW client at https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/trial/index.htm. Then install and update the game. Then close everything and navigate to the directory where you installed WoW. (C:/Program Files/Blizzard/World of Warcraft, or something like that) You should then see a file called REALMLIST.WTF, open that file with a text editor such as notepad or wordpad. Then change the text to "set realmlist 24.184.152.25". Next you must register at the site http://www.worldofultima.net/index.php?n=account/create. Open WoW and log in using that information. Other servers and IP's can be found at http://www.wowstatus.net/.

Btw dont go round saying : hey everybody im on a private server where i dont have to pay , or they'll probably update it , and block private servers =(

I use to play on the private server Prodigy but that fell to peices and the owner gave up.
The number 1 ranked private server is WoWScape.
It has gathered all the mature, friendly and talented GMs from the other servers and put them into one.
The people who run that private server(s) are very talented people, very rich too.
Because their service it probably better than original WoW's and bugs get quickly fixed people send many donations to keep the server up and running.
It costs them nearly $1,000 a month to run, but they recieve $900 every two days so now they dont have to work, appart from keeping the server up.
They even give you a choice whether you want to play like normal WoW, or WoW with GODLY equipment but can level to 245 and solo naxx etc...
Personaly the level 245 servers are boring. Once your 245 it ends. Sure, you can solo naxx bosses and gain the top T3 equipment but then you can have a level 1 donator in custom gear soloing ZG. Its rediculous how its done but believe it or not, 100's of players fight for a spot on the server. This can be easily sorted if you donate for a guareenteed spot.
The level 60 servers are the better ones in my opinion. Its more realistic and in my opinion again, is more fun than original WoW.
The event GM can summon any mob, and let them roam around Orgrimmar or Ironforge wiping the full zones, preety much like Kruul did recently on original WoW.
Overall its fun, and thats what i want from a game. And better still, its FREE!
Yes i can afford the WoW subscription, so dont get me wrong. I believe WoW is a great game but its very, very time costly. I can not play that game casualy and be a success. Too many players are addicted to that game, they play 18 hour shifts, its stupid. But because of them, other players feel asif they have to compete. So they stay on as much as possible. Sadly they dont realize they are wasting their lives. As one man said, it became his 2nd job.
Also, original WoW is aimed at making money, that is all. Infact, that applies to all MMO's but WoW especialy because they allow 9 year old kids spamming chats, arogent adults calling you "noob" because you dont play your class like them, threats from others if you dont make a raid, its total nonsence.
I think that they should make it clear, maybe spam like the children do in orgrimmar, that this is a game. Yes, people play games for all different reasons but if someone doesnt play like someone else, so what, they dont have too.
Argh it annoys me how much of a t**t people are on WoW.
All i can say is atleast we dont have gold farmers on WoWScape, and atleast we have GMs who have the power to ban the players IP if they are idiots. This creates a fantastic community.
