Well i do hate AOL and all but were I stay, I can get AOL BroadBand for 30 a mounth or RoadRunner for 40 a mounth.
I had roadrunner and loved it. But 30 a mounth is nice for cable connection.
Have you or anyone you know ever have AOL Broadband and if so how is it.
Also could AOL Broadband work for something like Xbox live?

You better check again man. AOL broadband... thats a misgnomer. You still have to buy teh cable internet services through your cable company, THEN pay the additional for the use of AOL services. This of course could have changed but for the 26 current Cable companies around the US that I am the Sr. Engineer for... it's true.

gimpy, are you sure.. that's with the BYOA plans..
AOL actually sells the broadbrain connections now, the big issue i see with it is that it's not an "always on" connection. you need to establish your connection with AOL before you can browse the web

I could so own you in any fps given a 15 minute grace period to set up controls and get used to playing a fps again. Especially Rainbow 6, any game where a shot to the head kills you is teh owns.
Although I can't beat Janoth at Return to Catle Wolfenstein.... he'll osama suicide bomb your ass with a rocket launcher before you even see him. It's gimp =/

Sr.Engineers..lol..always calling me for help, and they're pretty stupid about a great many things, including shit that they should know for their job. Like what netstat is, for example.
Anywho..that changed about..3 years ago, as far as what you said. AOL actually has it's own broadband. And you should know they own a huge chunk of roadrunner, controlling chunk that is.
Not that I'd know anything about that.. plz do more research next time.

Paco, read next time what people say. I said IT MAY HAVE CHANGED, and for the 26 that I currently support. (Patriot media, Classic cable, Entouch etc etc). Why would I do research on something I could careless about, AOL is for idiots that don't know any better. So I offered my opinion. Facts were wrong, no big deal.
Oh, and you would never get a call from me or my Team for support. If we can not fix it, it can not BE fixed.
