I like playing AOC. So when I bought new computer, I installed AOC. Now instead of Windows XP I have Vista. And now the game wont work. I dont know why is that. Does AOC have problems with Vista generally or it is only my problem? Maybe it isnt vista, but then I dont know what the problem is.

Vista generally has problem with some programs and games. I have Vista also, and I like it very much. It looks very beautiful, neat, and some things you can do faster. It is like it has it owns mind, that helps you work with him. Maybe AOC has problems with Vista, it is very possible. I dont have problem with it, but it doesnt mean a thing. I know that it is very irritating because you can not ply your game. It is like little addiction, and if you dont satisfy your need, than you will have crisis. Maybe is smart to try several times to install it, or ask some expert, maybe is some option on that doesnt allow you to play.

It runs fine on both OS, dx10 is not in AoC at the moment and may not be in for release either.

I am going to stick with Xp 32 for now until I see how AoC runs, before I make the move to Vista.

Common solution is to right-click the desktop shortcut - properties - compatibility and set it to allow XP or whatever.
|

for the release maybe the best is windows xp more quick and safty.
But after 3 or 4 month if you have a big pc windows vista will be the best because more beautiful in direct x 10

Age of conan already is running dx10, what you guys talking about? And yes, it works fine, most people playing with 60+fps in vista with a 9800GTX

Have you got Service Pack 1 yet? Fixes tons of problems and makes it all around more stable.
