Please, be advised, there are so many scams going around right now involving these types of sales.

I have had to handle no less than 19 fraud complaints revolving around people offering AOC beta accounts.

Purchasing an AOC beta account, just like a WoW account, offers no security, period.

The seller CAN recall the account with ease.

So be warned if Drive-by-sller00 offers to sell you one with his fast talk, low post count and poor Engrish skills. More often than not, your about to be scammed.

Please read the ARTICLE about avoiding a paypal scam to give yourself a level of protection for when you are scammed

It is a risk but I would think there is something that can be attached to the transaction that could identify the account, and the transaction.

Say putting the account number or name into the comment field in paypal or western union, also only working with verified accounts.

the worst case in a recall is you call your local authorities and they will contact theirs, and you recover your money. This is also fraud if I am not mistaken and unless they are in the same state as you, this quickly escalates to a federal offense... odd, all that trouble for a game.

I guess this is why game companies don't want there stuff traded/sold.

I actually bought an ac2 account back in the day and first thing I did was wrote down the guys address name and phone number. 3 months later it was recalled, I didn't even call him.

I called the cops in his town on a non emergency number and asked to speak with someone about a theft. I ended up talking to an officer and he laughed at it but was willing to hear me out. The officer agreed to stop by the guys new address "that I did'nt have the information to" 3 hours later I got a call from the officer at the guys house, the dude would have agreed to give me his first born... I got my 100 bucks back via a money order.

I seriously suggest people take this kind of action, and when dealing with authorities be respectful and don't rush em. I think if I had been any other way the cop would a laughed and hung up.
