The best part about rad was the opening and closing credits, the only real BMX/Trick riding in the whole movie... and maybe the dance scene but that was kind of cheesy...

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Humongous great horror movie..
Breakfast Club
Better Off Dead
1941 even though it came out in 1979
empire of the sun

Basically in that error produced some of the greatest horror movies but they came out so fast it was hard to determine which ones were good or chessy, but then I was younger so it was scarier..

Yes, but my security clearance level allowed me to take command of this thread and move it up to the early 90's.

Hey there mr atarom, why don't you try reading the thread? Tura clearly stated that his list of shows were from Nickelodean before they blew camels. I then decided to add my list of favorite TV shows.

Besides, are you saying you weren't strangely attracted to Petunia when you were just a lad?

Also, a couple little known facts:

1. Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld) was in it
2. Noah Hathaway's character was named Harry Potter, Jr.

My Top 25 movies of the '80s :-

Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Raider's of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Aliens
The Terminator
The Princess Bride
Some Kind of Wonderful
Better off Dead (under-rated classic although Cusack says he hates it now)
Bad Taste (Jackson's first movie, possibly my favourite film ever)
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
Army of Darkness: The Medieval Dead
Robocop
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Breakfast Club
Dune
This is Spinal Tap
Blade Runner (Original Cut was the best)
Die Hard
Chariots of Fire
The Thing
Footloose
Predator
Angel Heart
The Lost Boys

Not in strict order of preference.

Regards,
Eduin

Talk about being sacred. I saw Nightmare on Elm Street (84?) in the theatre (snuck in) when I was like 13.....I couldn't sleep for a few days!

No other movie has really sacred me since although the ring was damn scary but in an entertaining way.

Where's the love for Clue???

Also among my favorites that I don't see mentioned:
Tron
The Black Hole
Transformers: The Movie
Romancing the Stone

And of course the 80's Bond flicks (For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill & The Living Daylights)

Clue was badass! I love Madeline Kahn. She was awesome

"It says here that your first husband mysteriously disappeared..."
"That was his job. He was a magician."
"But he never reappeared!"
"Meh. He wasn't a very good magician."

1 is Italian, 1 is from New Zealand and 1 is British. Several of the others are more international than American (particularly the 4 Lucas ones). Undoubtedly a lot of Yankee films, I've never said I had a problem with enjoying American films.

Damn, I forgot Pump Up the Volume and License to Drive. Mad Max was 79, IIRC, Mad Max 2 (Road Warrior) was the worst of the three but I should have had Beyond Thunderdome on there. Gah, making lists means cutting too much good stuff.

Eduin
