40 man raids were hard to get established and the loot distribution was set up in a way that it would take months to get what you wanted. It was perfect for Blizzard because we pay a monthly fee. The longer you have to wait to get loot the more money they make. it seems as though the game just continuously evolves in new ways to guarantee you will have to pay the monthly fee.

Acutally...40 man raids were so much more fun then any 25 man. Frustrating, but still fun

You have no idea what your talking about 40 mans are so much more fun than 25mans. The only people who complain about 40mans are the people who could never get to truly experience them.

Yeah 40 man raids are kind of pointless considering you can get away with having about 15 people AFK and still complete the lower end 40 mans like MC and BWL.
Even 25 is pushing it in terms of overall size.

Mainly because as a guild you were working on bosses for weeks to months on end. And hearing the 40+ other people in vent go nuts when you finally get over that triumph is really amazing.
Out of all TBC, nothing has got my guild to scream half as loud as we did when we killed C'thun, 4HM, or KT.

I completely agree with you, in pretbc me and my guild downed KT and we went completely insane on vent, when we downed prince we still cheered but a boss requring 40man instead of 10man is more of an achievement

The 40 man raids were the best. I remember wiping in MC, Feeling like "Well S**t, Were done here." and deciding to give another stab at it and downing Ragnaros. We screamed like you wouldn't belive, (This was our first 40 man my guild went on, The guild has since been disbanded, RIP GankerzUnited AoS

25 man raids killed raiding bigtime
but the game is slowly dieing so they need to decrease required size

It was fun playing those 40 man Raids it felt good being on vent or teamspeak and finally killing ragnaros

Uh raids are only 25-man atm.
WotlK will have 10 and 25 man raids of all end-game raiding content.

40 man raids back in the day at 60 were very fun. Back then, "epic gear" was actually epic... now at 70 everyone is rollin in them

I'm not big on the 40 man raids myself either, but I do enjoy the 25-mans. I think they should drop the raid teams down to 15 or 20 people though at least, to make things more fun and easier for everyone.
