I really hate all those 40 man raids in WoW and they suck big time. I do not understand how anybody can play the game like that. It is not meant to be played that way. If I were in charge, I would ban all those players who are making those raids. I would never allow them to play any MMO game again. That is so dumb way to play this great game, and they are just wasting time.

You should not pay any attention to those kinds of players. They have decided how to play WoW, and they will stick to that, no matter what you do. They are indeed bad 40-man raids, but it is their decision. I would always suggest to anybody to just continue to play, enjoy and have fun in World of Warcraft. There are more players like you, who hate some kind of gamers. Hate is universal feeling, and you should forget it. Play WoW, and do not pay attention to those raids. I have done that long time ago, and I am now steadily progressing through the game.

Not so much fun when you manage to crash the server during the days when guilds were in MC or Naxx. Received quite a few angry /w's for organising a massive raid on SW.

I miss 40 Man Raids.
Not so much Molten Core or BWL.
But AQ40 and Naxx.
Mainly because as a guild you were working on bosses for weeks to months on end. And hearing the 40+ other people in vent go nuts when you finally get over that triumph is really amazing.
Out of all TBC, nothing has got my guild to scream half as loud as we did when we killed C'thun, 4HM, or KT.
Period.

dude, 40 man raids are awesome! Im guessing you didnt play back in the days of WoW before TBC came out huh? MC, BWL, AQ, NAXX. You needed 40 men to raid those places because, they were so dang tough.

Hummm, Well i personally dont like them ietther i like to do like 10-25 depending on what raid it is ... BT is the best i tihnk...
Mana tombs was done in a party off 30.... but the loot stinks
but as some people might say dont take too much attention to the Loot or the Gold because if you do it'll be a habit if you dont take too much attention it will come naturally

I liked the 40 mans pre-BC, it was really intimidating to see 3-4 people outside of MC knowing that there's another 36 right inside.

Yeah that is kinda fun.... But then where is the fun of getting the loot and money i know i said " Don't focus much on it"
But still... If you don't focus atall you seem not to move... You should allways make sure you're ketting resonable loot and g

40 man raids were basically 25 man raids with 15 people dicking around.
Those 15 people could be anyone, the content never required more than 30+ skilled people, except in some fights in Naxx

In pre-bc, 40 man raids made it harder for people to get gear because getting 40 players on the game at the same time is hard. Yet in 40 man raids, the role of each player is not as important. In 10 man and 25 man raids in the burning crusade, it is easier to get 10 or 25 people online at the same time to do an instance. Yet, if one person messes up, it affects the whole raid much more than in 40 man instances.

I dont get this post. 40 mans were great when you had a solid group.
The only downfall is maintaining that group =/

they were good and they were bad... felt epic yeah, but back then blizzard was still 'noob' at designing raids, so some of them were pretty horrible. AQ anyone?

I'd say 40 man were fun as hell but required more guild management. That's the only drawback really, I hated some nights where you had to hope 40 people got on.

If there was a guild that was compromised of only the 40 best raiders in the world, then the game would be pointless. Having people who arent so bright that play the game are what make learning an encounter fun - SIKE~!
