That friggin' owns!
Dude, figure out how to install it. I downloaded the .exe file, but it gives me an error when I click it.
More specifically:
Sphere.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Reading the comments is a waste of time, half the people posting there are idiots. "It's not practical or useful!" -- b******t, assuming it's like a skybox effect in a 3D environment, you get six times more desktop space with it.
The only thing that really bothers me is that it looks like a resource rapist.

A lot of the great-looking desktop themes are b******t because once you start using them you realize 100% of your screen is taken up by applications anyway.
Linux GUI desktops are more configurable and were the main reason I got into linux back when I did, anyway.

Yeah that one looks like shit but you can change anything about linux desktops. Without writing code, I mean.

Excluding games and OpenCanvas (which has an equivalent tool under Linux), what is it you need Windows for?

Since when does openCanvas have a linux equivalent?
And what do you mean excluding games? How the hell can you simply exclude games? 80% of my computer usage is gaming.

It gives whole new meaning to the term "Resource hog."
The sucker was using more than 80MB ram and up to 90% of my CPU resources at times.

seems really cool
unfortunately having a geforce fx5900 means my computer is in vaccu-suck mode whenever something 3d is running .. and having it in vaccu mode all the time would be annoying
