I was asked if I know any people with experience with 3d modeling, world building, etc experience who might be interrested in doing some work on a future release.
The job pays absolutley nothing, it's all volunteer work, they said there is a possability of a royalty share in the future, but no promises on that will be made. All you'll really get out of it is a resume boost and a thank you.
Mostly would involve modeling 3d figures, and they need a few world builders as well.

The Need:
I work for an established game studio with 8 years of MMORPG experience. We have a currently running title called Underlight and are in the process of making a new game with greatly improved graphics and gameplay. That's where you come in. I have a team of modelers already, but would like 2-3 more for characters, monsters, and objects.
Working knowledge of 3d Studio Max is a plus, though most other apps should be able to export to a compatible format.
The Catch:
While not immediately a paying position, it will offer job experience with a veteran team, and hopefully be an exciting challenge to someone. In addition, should the project be successful we will offer royalties and equity.
We use a "virtual office" concept, so there will be no need to move anywhere. If you are interested please let me know and we'll move forward, and/or e-mail me: zephyr@lyrastudios.com if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Zephyr

A bit more info:
Here is an example of one of the monsters , and also an early stage Screenshot .
The above monster has already been modeled, and looks fantastic, but we have several others of that caliber that need to be done.
I'll happily send watermarked images to anyone that is seriously considering coming on to the project, but cannot release them publicly at this time.
Thanks again,
~Zephyr

If I had experience doing this before I did anything I'd make them at least sign a contract guaranteeing any royalties. f**k working for free... even if the project bombs, at least everyone gets screwed and not just you.
I'm sure even Sony would hire you to work for free, and that probably looks better on your resume.

Regardless, working for free isn't so bad if you enjoy what you're doing.
I think it's a toss up between Marken and whoever did the models for Enter the Matrix.
Sweeeeeeet...
