Tea, use more tact next time when addressing a regular member if you please.
The way it should have been worded was thus
" Hey purple, I am not sure if you are aware or not, but what.cd has an invite channel in their IRC and they have been giving them away recently without much of a hassle "
This serves the same purpose, may displease the poster, but conveys no disrespect.
